Moda is Italian for fashion. And that's just the focus of Moda, the upscale bi-level River North lounge for the Prada set. "We won't hesitate to turn you away if you're not dressed fashionably," says one employee. The club is sectioned off into two rooms: a main-floor lounge and a subterranean VIP room.
Five flat-screen TVs constantly run footage from the latest international fashion shows, reminding you that you're in a fashion-focused lounge. Several L-shaped, black-suede couches frame the room, with ottomans filling the center and curtains draping the ceiling. The most striking detail in the main room is the 15 rowboat-sized leaves that curve toward the ceiling. They're above the crescent-shaped bar, as well as the green and gold booths that line the room. The focus here is mostly on lounging (read: making the scene). So, sorry Tony Manero, you'll have to take your Saturday night fever elsewhere.
